Emerging Soul Traveller…
Breathe and soften, put down all you have come here with
Breathe into your abdomen, your heart, breathing in calm, breathing out tension
With each breath let it go, and just welcome whatever you are feeling right now, know that this is exactly where you are meant to be, and however you arrived here is just fine
You are safe here, your heart is safe here
Feel the earth beneath you, holding you; here you are supported, nourished, safe.
Here sink down, into a place of safety; there are no children to care for, no meals to cook, no jobs to do. This is a safe nourishing space, that can hold all of your experiences, all of your stories.
Breathe / soften / calm
Your body is soft and gentle, your mind is open and ready
You are walking now – it is dawn, just morning, a blue haze across the landscape. There are trees all around you, the moon is still in the sky, the last stars disappearing. You are on a path through the woods – ancient trees standing tall beside you.
Underfoot a soft sandy path, some fallen leaves, the sun is just rising, slow now, through the trees. Perhaps you see a deer walking quietly across your path, a bird lands on a branch close by, a fox slopes home from a night of hunting, a hedgehog snuffles, a crow caws, you keep walking, wrapping a thick scarf around your shoulders, you can hear a river close by, its watery trickle a comforting noise…
Breathe in the smells…earth, rain, resin, bark, dew; hear the sounds… birds, leaves crackling, snow melting, wind; feel the air on your skin, the crinkle of the path under foot…
Just keep walking this path in your mind, slowly and gently, in your own time, stopping when you need to, seeing where it takes you
How does the landscape change in front of you, around you?
Where are you, what do you want to do?
What do you need to do, what can you see?
What can you feel? Just let the path flow…
And now, it’s time to take a pause in our journey, to return to this space, bringing with us all we have seen on the way…
Allow yourself a few deep, soothing breaths
Flex your ankles, wrists, open your eyes, and return…
